Data Management Boot Camp and Setting Executive Vision

Sunday, July 12th, 2015

15:05 Developing Data Models to Meet DFAST and CCAR Stress Tests

Banks were guilty of horrendous data practices leading up to the financial crisis. As we move forward, stress tests have made huge changes to how banks keep data and how they’re expected to use and know it. Nancy Wallace Chairs the Model Validation Council for the Federal Reserve System and she is working to build models that link data sets together and better understand new housing price indices which are critical for all valuation as part of the stress tests.
Nancy will discuss:
• The evolutions in housing pricing and new data linkages
• Building systems to manage and hold data from an ontological approach
• New methods to understand contracting structures more visibly
